In Before I Self Destruct the producers use this effect and video layer to create a memorable opening title to make the audience remember the film. The font is bold and striking which stands out and adds emphasise to the scene but furthermore the countdown on the bomb timer is shown behind and this creates an interesting background and ties in well with the title Before I Self Destruct.

Opening Scene 5
In Before I Self Destruct the producers use this downward camera angle to show the full view and height of the staircase both the victim and Curtis Jackson (Clarence) are running up. Due to the victim not knowing that Clarence is running after him gives a sense of disillusion and adrenaline towards the victim. However the audience can depict form this scene that Clarence is eventually going to kill the victim as we can see him gaining on him.
Opening Scene 4
In Before I Self Destruct the producers use this medium close up shot on the victim to make the audience clearly see his facial expressions and body movement, in this case he is panicked and scared. Furthermore this shot is also used to show what is behind him, and as we can see Curtis Jackson is holding a gun pointing to the victims head, which also creates a sense that the victim has no idea he is behind him.
Opening Scene 3
In Before I Self Destruct the producers use such effects on their photographic stills as the one above to create emphasis towards Curtis Jackson (Clarence). As this photograph shows when Clarence injured his knee, it gives the impression that this was a key event into leading the plot of the film. Also due to the camera angle being pointed down towards Clarence gives the impression that he is helpless and we fell sympathy.
Opening Scene 2
In Before I Self Destruct the producers use the effect and video as the one above to give the impression that the digits in the shot are part of a bomb which accompanies the title Before I Self Destruct. Also due to the number moving around and having a flare effect around them makes the audience feel intimidated by the sharpness of the effect as it creates a sense of danger.
Opening Scene 1
In Before I Self Destruct the producers use such helicopter shots as the one above to set the scene for the movie. Due to the shot covering a wide range of the environment it gives the audience more of an insight into where this film is set. Furthermore there are alot of highways and built up areas so it seems to give the impression that this film is set in America.
